All righty, tumblr family. 

As a lot of my followers know, I’ve accepted a place on a Drama and Theatre Studies master’s program at the National University of Ireland, in Galway. It’s a wonderful opportunity, and it’s something I’ve wanted to do since I found out about the program over a year ago. I’ve have the chance to live in one of most culturally diverse cities in Ireland, work with the Druid Theater, and overall continue my education in a subject that I love.

Originally, I’m getting a slight tuition cut because of the school I’m coming from. I only have to pay so much in tuition. It’s still a good chunk - but going through my paperwork for the school and FASFA and all the other usual routines, I’ve discovered a problem - I’m only allowed to get $20,500 from the American government for my schooling. After adding tuition, accomodation, travel, various fees, and all other needs for the full year (08/2015 - 08/2016) that I’l be there doing my master’s, it’s going to run about $35,000 USD. We do a bit of math and I have roughly 15,000 USD to come up with outside sources. 

I’m not rich. I don’t have a lot of money. Right now I’m working a job that pays minimum wage and I’m putting back every cent of my paycheck - I originally thought I’d only have to worry about my travel to Ireland and my first couple of weeks until my loans come in, but now I’ve found out it’s not the case. My only living parent, my mom, is on disability and can’t afford to pay for it either because of the bills she has to pay. My credit is shit, and no banks will give me additional loans.

I really don’t want to give up going to Ireland. So I’m asking my tumblr family to possibly donate what they can to my gofundme, which you can find here. If everyone who currently follows me donated one dollar, I’d have over one thousand dollars. If you can’t afford to donate, I’d appreciate it if yo could share this post so someone who could donate will see it.

I hate doing this. But I’m not sure where else to tun right now. I know people have brought forth their donations to help with illnesses and travelings and kickstarters all over the internet - I’m hoping the same might be true for an unfortunate student like me ho has the chance of a lifetime.
